Welcome to The CAT CLINIC of Conway, a veterinary clinic just for cats, with special pricing on cat spays, neuters, & declaws. We also offer vaccines, blood tests, & Feline medical & surgical services (Outpatient walk-in hours are M-F 9am-10am & 4pm-5pm; & Tuesday 5-5:30pm).   And, commencing in November 2007, we have outpatient hours most  Saturdays of each month from 10am-noon.  (call to confirm).

1.  Our surgery schedule is now by appointment. Surgery appointments are scheduled as blocks of time from 9am to 10am; if you cannot bring your cat in to the clinic between 9am & 10am, then you may schedule to hospitalize your cat in the late afternoon between 4 & 5pm Monday - Friday, and then we will conduct the surgery the next business day (we are closed Saturday & Sunday, but we do take good care of hospitalized cats over the weekend).    We now also admit patients Tuesday from 5pm-5:30pm (Tuesday’s only).

2. Surgery patients admitted Monday-Friday between 9am and 10am will have surgery performed (spay, neuter, &/or declaw) that afternoon. Spays usually go home the next day. Declaws stay two nights (for extra pampering). Thursday’s declaw surgeries usually go home Monday. Except for male neuters, Friday’s spays & declaws go home Monday. Friday’s male neuters, if admitted before 10am, may go home Friday afternoon.   Please Note:  When possible, vaccines should be started at least two weeks prior to surgery.

3. For all morning hospitalizations, please take away all food at nine PM the night before surgery. For cats under 3 years of age, take away water also. 4. Please use a cat carrier to transport your cat. 5. Please do not bring in "sick" cats for surgery; they should be seen as an outpatient…..Outpatient walk-in hours are M-F 9am-10am & 4pm-5pm; & Tuesdays 5-5:30pm.   And, most Saturdays from 10am-noon (call to confirm).

6. Vaccines should begin as early as 6-8 weeks of age. Declaw surgery may be done as early as @3 & ½ pounds of body weight (and as late as 10-12 years of age). Male neuters can be done early also (and in any event it is strongly recommended to be done no later than six months of age in order to minimize adverse behavior; ie, the longer you wait to neuter your male cat, the more bad habits he will develop). Female spays are usually done about 3-5 months of age (it is ok to spay a cat in "heat"; and, at our clinic there is no extra fee for spaying at that time; however, there is an extra fee if she is more than two weeks pregnant: add $19 if 3-4 wks, $29 if 5-6 wks, $39 if 7-8 wks, $49 if 9 wks).
